Woodlands Commons – Winner of the 2018 Grand Aurora Award for Best Interior Renovation
The 2018 Grand Aurora award for best interior renovation was recently announced, and the winner is…Wegman Design Group! We achieved this milestone for Woodlands Commons at Shell Point Retirement Community in Fort Myers. The remodel project features a coastal theme with modern finishes, two new restaurant concepts, and new meeting spaces for Shell Point residents to gather. The lakefront Palm Grill has undergone extensive renovations, and a brand new casual dining facility, The Blend, has just been introduced. In addition, improvements within the 27, 125-square-foot, two-story resident activity center include the newly remodeled Grand Cypress Room, Arts and Crafts Room, Game Room, Buttonwood Room, and Lobby. We are so proud of our extraordinary design team!

Wegman Design Group was honored to take part in a groundbreaking ceremony at the new Discovery Village in Naples on August 9, 2018. Along with our building and architecture partners, independent living residents can enjoy luxurious amenities including the Grand Clubhouse, Legends Club & Bar, Bailey’s Bistro & Ice Cream Parlor, Discovery Zone Media Center with Cognitive Brain Fitness, Discovery Silver Cinema Movie Theater with Digital Surround Sound, Heated Pool and Spa, Professional Beauty Salon & Barber Services and more. We are delighted to be part of an endeavor that will help the residents enjoy an active, independent lifestyle. The community is scheduled to open fall 2020.
